A Larger/Spacious Electric Vehicle (EV)
Early renderings and speculation for this model lead one to believe that it might end up like an EV version of the Hyundai Palisade. That’s because Hyundai intends for the Ioniq 7 to have three rows of seating. Among electric car options, it would be on the larger side.
Before this vehicle becomes a reality, Hyundai already has both an all-electric Sedan and Crossover model ready: the Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 5 respectively. They’re clearly staking a significant position in the EV market.
Terrific Design – Inside & Outside
The aesthetics for the Ioniq 7 are making a good early impression with reviewers. It’s going with a digital outside theme with something called “parametric pixels” that adorn the hood of the vehicle.
On the inside, Hyundai is going with a more classic appeal. The interior furniture lends to a lounge-like feel. Some of the design features might seem unusual, but at the prototype stage, there is still plenty of time to tinker with the final product.
One last stylistic note: the Ioniq 7 may not bear much resemblance to the appearance of the Ioniq 5, its Crossover relative. Hyundai engineers are bucking the trend of other makers, whereby the EV vehicles share a similar look. In other words, you’ll be able to distinguish Hyundai from other manufacturers as well as internally amongst its diverse models.
