2023 Hyundai Venue

Small SUV. Big city hustle.

Make it yours

As the SUV continues its upward trajectory in popularity, many of the leading manufacturers have taken impressive strides in making the vehicle more accessible to the average consumer. This has been through the reduction of prices and the implementation of designs that are more agile and easy to drive. Perhaps nowhere else is this thought process more apparent than the 2023 Hyundai Venue. Economically priced and taking the form of a small crossover, it could very well be the ideal choice for city dwellers and families alike. In an age where cost-effectiveness is a major factor with any purchase, Hyundai underbids the competition to improve overall accessibility.

Performance

The Venue is definitely suited for city life and its tendency to produce stop-and-go traffic patterns. Test results have shown that the Venue has peppy acceleration courtesy of its four-cylinder engine with 121 horsepower. This, in turn, is equipped with  CVT, which allows for conservative fuel consumption when out and about. EPA estimates rated the city MPG of the Venue at 29, a number which increases to 31 when on the highway.

Interior & Technology

When it comes to the interior of the Venue, the name of the game is practicality. Because of its size, everything is accessible and user-friendly when one sits behind the wheel. For those with a considerable amount of errands to run throughout the week, 32 available cubic feet of storage provide double the space as the trunk of a four-door sedan. The interior of the Venue is anchored by a standard eight-inch infotainment center that provides compatibility with Apple and Android devices and, by all accounts, is simple to operate.

At the time of this publication, crash-test results have not been announced by the NHTSA. That said, Hyundai equips the Venue with various safety features to provide their drivers with peace of mind. Forward collision warning and the automated emergency braking are standard and can assist with reaction time. We were impressed by the standard driver alertness monitor, which can help prevent collisions due to driver fatigue.

Stand out in style

Hyundai also offers outstanding warranty coverage, including powertrain assurance for a period of ten years/100,000 miles.
